BIBLE BOOK CHAPTER VERSE: 👉 Listening to God’s Word and Responding with Repentance | Bible Exhortation | Deuteronomy 30:2–3, Luke 10:16, Psalm 79:9

Today’s Bible exhortation reminds us of the importance of listening to God’s Word and responding with repentance. Through Deuteronomy 30:2–3, we see God’s promise of restoration for those who return to Him. Luke 10:16 calls us to recognize that rejecting His message is rejecting God Himself. And Psalm 79:9 encourages us to seek His mercy and forgiveness.

Reflect, repeat, and pray along with us as we learn to truly hear and obey the Lord.

Are we really listening when God speaks, or are we letting His Word pass us by?

Hi everyone! Welcome back to Bible Book Chapter Verse, your daily source of Scripture, encouragement, and practical life guidance. Today, we’re diving into a powerful message about truly listening to God’s Word and responding with heartfelt repentance.

Before we dive in, let us know in the comments: Has there been a time when God’s Word convicted you to change direction?

Our Old Testament verse for today is:

    Deuteronomy 30:2–3
and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.

God calls His people to repentance, promising restoration and mercy when they turn back to Him.

Our New Testament verse for today is:

    Luke 10:16
He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.

Rejecting Jesus’ message isn’t just ignoring words—it’s turning away from God Himself. Listening and obeying brings life.

Our Psalms/Proverbs verse for today is:

    Psalm 79:9
Help us, O God of our salvation,
    For the glory of Your name;
And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins,
    For Your name’s sake!

Repentance is never just about guilt—it’s about coming back to God’s mercy and forgiveness.

    Repeat after me:
“Lord, I will listen when You speak, and return to You when I stray.”

    Say it once more:
“Lord, I will listen when You speak, and return to You when I stray.”

    Let’s pray:

Father, thank You for speaking to us through Your Word and through Jesus Christ. Forgive us for the times we’ve ignored Your voice. Help us to listen carefully, obey quickly, and walk closely with You every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May the Lord bless you with ears to hear His voice, heart ready to obey, and feet that follow Him faithfully. May His peace guard your days, His wisdom guide your choices, and His love surround you always. Go in the grace and strength of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Listening to God isn’t enough — we must respond! Repent, reflect, and obey His Word today.
