    Our Old Testament verse for today is:
    Isaiah 5:20 —
    Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
    Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

    This verse could have been written about our generation.
    Isaiah warns of a time when moral lines would blur — when society would praise what’s wrong and ridicule what’s right.
    Sound familiar? Yet, this is not a call to despair — it’s a wake-up call.
    God wants His people to stay alert, to discern truth from deception, and to courageously speak light into darkness.

    Our New Testament verse for today is:
    Ephesians 6:13–14 —
    Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

    Paul reminds us that truth isn’t just an idea — it’s armor.
    The “belt of truth” holds everything together. Without it, the rest of your spiritual armor falls apart.
    In a culture built on shifting sands, truth keeps us grounded.
    Standing firm doesn’t mean being harsh — it means being rooted. Rooted in Christ. Rooted in Scripture. Rooted in love that won’t compromise.

    Our Psalms/Proverbs verse for today is:
    Psalm 119:160 —
    The entirety of Your word is truth,
    And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

    God’s Word is unchanging and reliable, even when the world twists reality and spreads deception.
    Standing firm on Scripture gives us a solid foundation, because God’s truth never wavers.
    In times of confusion and compromise, clinging to His Word shields us from being misled and strengthens our faith.
    Let your life be anchored in God’s eternal truth — the Word that endures forever.

    Repeat after me:
    “I will stand firm in God’s truth. I will not be deceived by the world — I will live by God’s Word.”
    Say it once more:
    “I will stand firm in God’s truth. I will not be deceived by the world — I will live by God’s Word.”

    Let’s pray:
    Heavenly Father,
    In a world filled with confusion and compromise, help me to stand firm on Your truth.
    Give me discernment to recognize deception and courage to speak Your Word with love.
    Strengthen my heart to stay faithful, even when it’s unpopular.
    Let my life reflect Your light in every dark place.
    In Jesus’ name I pray — Amen.

    May the Lord clothe you in His armor of truth,
    guard your mind from deception,
    and give you boldness to stand firm in faith.
    Wherever lies rise up, may your life declare — “God’s Word is truth.”
